On Wednesday night, June 25, 2008 Station 75 did
some hose training at R.D. Wilson School.
Another early morning standby
for Station 75!
On the morning of June 20, 2008 Rescue 75 was
dispatched to standby at Station 62 (Whites Crossings) while they, along
with many other companies, were operating on a structure fire in
Simpson. Rescue 75 stood by from
12:30 A.M. - 4:30 A.M.

On the morning of June 16, 2008 Rescue 75 was
dispatched to standby at Station 42 (Vandling) while they, along
with many other companies, were operating on a second alarm
structure fire on Main Street in Vandling. Rescue 75 stood by from
3:00 A.M. - 6:00 A.M.
Storms make complete
mess in Waymart!
On Tuesday night June 10, and early Wednesday
morning, Station 75 and other assisting companies were very busy
after the reign of thunderstorms came through the Waymart Area.
Waymart and other crews were working from mid Tuesday evening until
early Wednesday morning around 1:30 A.M. Chief 75 ran command in
the fire hall and assisting us was Engine 43, Car 43, Mini 94, and
Tanker 94. Overall, there were 17 trees down, one motor vehicle
accident, a transformer fire, an automatic fire alarm, and FP 75
shut down some roads.

was on Friday and Saturday night, Sunday was cleanup,

The 32 wins a
trophy!
On July 30, 2008,
Firefighters Steve Piotrowski and Jordan Thompson took our
1932 Chevy Fire Engine to a Car Show at the Ladore Lodge and
Conference Center and returned with a "Best in Class" award.
Station 75 runs 3 car MVA with 43
On July 25, 2008, Rescue 75,
Company 43, Waymart EMS, and Mobile 9 were dispatched for a 3
car MVA at the intersection of Route 296 and 247.
75 goes to Clifford
and wins award!
On July 24, 2008 Tanker 75 went to the Clifford
Parade and received the Best Appearing Tanker Award.
75 does Pumping and
Gear Training
On Wednesday night, July 17, 2008, Some of
station 75 took place in pumping training, while the rest of the
members were educated on turnout gear and SCBA's.

Lake Ariel
On Saturday night, July 12, 2008, Station 75 went
to the firemen's parade in Lake Ariel.
Rescue 75 gets called
to standby for 42
On Thursday night, July 10, 2008, Rescue 75 was dispatched to stand by at Station
42 while they were operating on a barn fire in Elkdale. Rescue
75 was on standby from around 8 PM - 11:40 PM.

BAG training
On Wednesday night, July 9, 2008, Station 75 did
some training with the HURST air bags.

calls on Monday
On Monday July 7, 2008, Station 75 ran 2 calls.
One being a MVA on Route 6 and Keen Lake Road, and the other being a
fire alarm at The Waymart Hotel.

Rescue Training
On Wednesday night, July 2, 2008 Station 75 did
some Vehicle Rescue Training at the Waymart Fire Hall.
75 gets new
addition to the family!
On Thursday, August 21,
2008 Station 75 received a new addition to the Waymart Fire
Company family, a
2008 Kawasaki Teryx.
The unit was acquired through a special loaner program from
Rusty Palmer Kawasaki in
Honesdale.
Deadly Motor
Vehicle Accident
On Saturday night August
16, 2008, Station 75, Waymart EMS, Company 43, Company 94,
Mobile 504, Mobile 9, and PSP to a one car motor vehicle
accident with possible ejection on Little Keen Road. First
arriving units on the scene reported a one car MVA with
three patients ejected. One patient was pronounced dead at
Wayne Memorial Hospital and the two other patients were
flown to CMC in Scranton.
Station 75 in
Firefighters Competition
On Sunday August 3,
2008, Station 75 participated in the 2008 Firefighters
Competition that was held at the Wayne County Fair. All
were tired, but all had fun!

75 holds first
part of BVR Class
On Wednesday night,
September 24, 2008, Station 75 held the first practical
night in the BVR-Awareness Class. It was held at O'Connell's
Junk Yard in Waymart. Lead instructor is PJ Fortuner. Other
instructors, Trent Turner, Walt Turner, and Joe Snyter.
Participants in the class are from Waymart, Honesdale, Beach
Lake, Clifford, Fleetville, and Cottage Hose. In the
following weeks, the operations class and the technician
class will be held here also, but the class roster is full.
Please check back from week to week as each part of the
class is held for new pictures and updates.

Rescue and
Tanker go to Honesdale!!!!
On Thursday, September 18,
2008, Rescue 75 and Tanker 75 were dispatched to assist
company Company 13 (Honesdale) on a structure fire. Company
13 was dispatched to a fully involved structure fire on East
Street in the afternoon. Multiple companies were also
dispatched. One house was completely to the ground and four
others were destroyed. Rescue 75 was initially dispatched to
stand-by by at station, but was brought into the scene.
Later, the tanker was dispatched. The tanker dumped 5 loads
of water. Also, Engine 24 (Greenfield) and Tanker 29
(Jefferson) stood by at our station while we were working.

Gun Raffle gets
great turnout!
On Saturday, September
13, 2008, Station 75 held their Inaugural Gun Raffle.
Everything went very well and we would like to thank all
who came to support us!
Labor Day
weekend brings two MVA's, a fully involved structure
fire, and our Coin Drop!
On Labor Day Weekend,
Station 75 was very busy. Friday and Saturday was our annual
Coin Drop, which we thank the public very much for their
donations. The first call was on Saturday, August 30, 2008,
this was a two car MVA with entrapment on Farview Mountain.
The second call was on Sunday August 31, 2008, this was a
one car MVA on Cannan Road with no patient found. Finally,
later on Sunday, we got dispatched along with Company 43 and
their first alarm to a structure fire on Lizzy Lane off of
Elk Lake Drive. First arriving 75 unit on scene reported
structure was fully involved. Crews worked until early
Monday morning cleaning up from the blaze. Chief 43A had

Also, Monday
September 1, 2008, Station 75 and Waymart EMS were
dispatched to a possible car fire on Route 6 near Keen Lake.
Lieutenant 75 cancelled all units.
Station 75 does
lots for Fire Prevention Week!
During this week, Fire
Prevention Week, Station 75 spent all of Thursday and Friday
doing various Fire Prevention Presentations all throughout
Waymart.
Lifelight lands
in Waymart!
On Friday, October 10,
2008, Station 75 was dispatched to set up a landing zone for
Waymart Ambulance.
Station 75 gets
2 early morning MVA's
On the
morning of Monday, October 6, 2008, Station 75, Waymart EMS,
and Mobile 9 were dispatched to two MVA's between the hours
of 3am and 6 am. One was on the Owego Turnpike and the other
on Route 296 South.
Fire Prevention
Breakfast goes well
On Sunday,
October 5, 2008, Station 75 held their annual Fire
Prevention Week breakfast buffet. We would like to thank the
community for their support. During this breakfast we teach
the kids about fire safety and show them around the trucks.
Later this week we will be visiting the elementary schools
and doing other fire prevention activities around the
community. Thank you for visiting the website and for all
the support.

was dispatched

for an activated
fire alarm at 49
Voyce Lane in
Clinton
Township. Rescue
and Tanker 75
were first
arriving units
on scene with
Chief 75
assuming
command. Crews
from 75 checked
exterior of
house and found
a light smoke
condition coming
from the
chimney. Crews
from 75 made
entry into the
residence and
found small fire
contained to the
chimney. Crews
from 75, Company
43, and Company
94 remained on
scene until
problem was
fixed and house
was ventilated.
75 ATV dispatched for
its first call
On Saturday, November 29, 2008, 75 ATV was dispatched for its first call since it has been in service. 75 Brush and ATV were dispatched to assist Waymart EMS and Company 1 for a hunter that fell out of a tree stand in the woods off of Stovepipe Road. 2008, Station 75 completed the Operations part of the Basic
Vehicle Rescue class that was held at O'Connell's Junk Yard.

75 completes
first part of BVR Class
On Wednesday night, October
1, 2008, Station 75 completed the BVR-A Class. Again, it was
held at O'Connell's Junk Yard. In two weeks the operations
and the technician class will be starting, so check back for
more information and pictures.

On
Friday, December 5 2008,
Station 75 was
dispatched for two back
to back calls. The calls
were as followed:
--Station 75,
Waymart EMS, and Mobile
9 were dispatches for a
two car MVA on Route 6
near American Steel
Classics.
--Station
75 was dispatched to
assist Waymart EMS,
Mobile 9, and Station 43
for a female that was
lost in the woods off of
Elk Lake Drive in
Clinton Township. 75
Brush and ATV arrived on
scene, crews from 75 and
Waymart EMS entered the
woods. Female was found
and was driven out by
family member, she
suffered from minor
injuries. All 43 units
were cancelled.
