Station 75 was dispatched for
fire police for a tractor trailer that was stuck on
Farview Mountain.

Station 75, Waymart EMS, and
Mobile 9 were dispatched for a one car MVA rollover
on main street in Waymart in front of the Wayne
Bank. The vehicle took out the Varcoe Insurance
Agency Sign, took out a fire hydrant, and some other
damage was done.
January 9, 2009
Station 75, Waymart EMS, and
Mobile 9 were dispatched for a one car MVA rollover
with entrapment on the Owego Turnpike. Waymart
ambulance arrived on scene reporting patient was
confined not entrapped. 75 Chief had Rescue 59 out of
Lackawanna county dispatched but then was cancelled.
With assistance, patient was gotten out of the
vehicle and treated by Waymart EMS.

Station 75, Waymart EMS, and
Mobile 9 were dispatched for a 2 car MVA at the
intersection of Route 296 & 6.
January 10, 2009
Station 75 and Waymart EMS were
dispatched for a car fire at the Shell Station in
Waymart. Chief 75 arrived on scene, fire had been
extinguished before he arrived, and al units were
cancelled.

Station 75 was dispatched for
traffic control for a disabled car on Farview
Mountain. 75 Engineer investigated and found no cars
and put all units back in service.

traffic control for a tractor trailer stuck on
Farview Mountain.
January 11, 2009
Station 75, Waymart EMS , Mobile
9 were dispatched for a one car MVA on Carbondale
Road near SCI. Patient was confined. Roof was taken
off and patient was extricated.
January 16, 2009
Station 75, Station 43, Waymart
EMS, Mobile 9, and Rescue 41 were dispatched for a
one car MVA on its side on Smith Road near Route
296. With the temperature at -8 degrees F, crews
hurried to stabilize a car on it's side with the
female driver still inside. Once stabilized, the
driver was removed and transferred to Waymart EMS
for evaluation. The scene was turned over to PSP and
75 Rescue was released by 43 Command.

Station 75, Waymart
EMS, and Mobile 9 were dispatched for a one
car MVA into a tree on Farview Mountain. Patient was
self extricated.

Tanker 75 was dispatched to
standby at Station 24 (Greenfield) while they were
operating on a structure fire in Susquehanna County.
January 19, 2009
Station 75, Waymart EMS, and
Mobile 9 were dispatched for a one car MVA on its
side, 25 feet off an embankment in the area of Wash
Road.
January 21, 2009
On Wednesday
January 21, 2009, The Waymart Volunteer Fire
Company responded to a possible structure fire
at the Gravity Planes apartments at 1:30 a.m.
When crews arrived smoke was showing. After the
initial attack the fire was extinguished within
15 minutes. The fire was confined to the
original residence. During this time a search of
the structure was performed and 3 individuals
were discovered in the upstairs apartment and
removed from the residence. Assisting companies
were Waymart EMS, Mobile 9, Pompton, Seelyville,
Lake Ariel, Honesdale, Pleasant Mount, Forest
City, and Beach Lake out of Wayne County,
and Greenfield, William Walker, and Whites
Crossing out of Lackawanna County.
The Fire Company would like to thank everyone
for their support during this difficult time.
The members and community have been stricken
with grief.
We also wish to
offer our condolences to the families of the
victims.
A special thanks is also given to the Gravity
Inn, The Salvation Army Ladore Lodge, Marian
Community Hospital, and Pastor Ryan Kraus for
their assistance.

dispatched for an automatic fire alarm at Spojnia
Manor in Waymart. All units were immediately
cancelled.

Station 75 and Waymart EMS were
dispatched for an automatic fire alarm on White Oak
Drive. All units were cancelled.

Station 75 and Waymart EMS were
dispatched for an automatic fire alarm on White Oak
Drive. All units were cancelled.

Rescue 75 was dispatched to
assist Lackawanna County for an MVA on Heart Lake
Road in Carbondale Township. Rescue 75 was cancelled
within a few minutes.
January 29, 2009
Station 75 was dispatched for a
one car MVA rollover on Carbondale Road near Sheep
Barn Road. Patient was un-injured and car drove away
from scene.
January 29, 2009
Station 75 was dispatched for
traffic control for a tractor trailer stuck in the
road way on Route 6 outside of Waymart. Station 94
was dispatched to assist.
